One-yuan, figures of Dong and Yao 1997-4-1

On the front side, from right to left, there are side portraits of Dong (Shi naiyin) and Yao figures, in dark red color tone; on the back side, there is a picture of the Great Wall, in dark red color tone. The banknote was issued on April 1, 1997, as the 1996 version. Compared with the 1980 and 1990 editions, the 1996 edition changed the watermark to a full-page five-star watermark, in addition to changing the intaglio printing on the front to offset printing.Since 2004, the bank has only received and paid for the bill, and on May 1, 2018, it was taken out of circulation.
